Our Doulas

Adrienne Wetherell, CD(DONA)

Adrienne is a birth & postpartum doula, yoga teacher, and proud mama. She attended her very first birth in 2012 and was immediately hooked! Adrienne offers caring, compassionate, non-judgmental support to expectant parents and is honored to work with families during such a life-changing time. As an experienced doula, she supports clients who are low or high-risk, who have had fertility challenges, previous traumatic births or pregnancy loss, anxiety, depression and trauma.

A certified yoga teacher since 2005, Adrienne is passionate about making the practice of yoga a safe, nourishing and fun experience for her participants. She has taught in corporate, hospital and yoga studio locations throughout Toronto and has additional training in mindfulness, prenatal/postnatal yoga and trauma sensitive yoga.

I was first introduced to doula work when I began working at a wellness facility specialized in prenatal and postnatal health. I felt that birth work aligned perfectly with my nurturing and intuitive personality and my background in health care equity and advocacy. I am passionate about supporting the plurality of preferences and approaches to care throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.  My doula support is grounded in evidence-based practices that are tailored to fit the individual needs of a person and a trust in myself and those I work with to create a supportive and empowering space.  Being a doula allows me to do fulfilling work that I love and I feel grateful to share in such beautiful and transformative moments.

I am a mindful mother of one and a birth & postpartum doula. After having my daughter a little over three years ago, I felt drawn to the idea of empowering others and supporting their birth choices through birth work. As an empath who is warm and caring, becoming a doula and supporting expecting families is something that really connects with who I am. I know from my own experience that having the resources to plan your birth and postpartum period, your way, has real value and truly sets the foundation for your parenting journey. I am here to hold space and help new parents navigate their own path from prenatal through to birth and postpartum.
