In 2018, Traceen took a postpartum position at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa but decided to take a leave of absence and work in Long Term Care as a frontline worker during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Her passion has always been in Maternity care being hands-on with her patients as they transition from pregnancy to motherhood.

Ciera Graham Jackson, CLD

Experience highlights: Birth & Postpartum Doula/Night Doula, Specializing in Multiples/Lactation Support/Early Childhood Educator

Ciera started on her professional path of birth support in 2013, when she was encouraged to enter the Doula world by her Aunties (who are also Doulas), shortly after beginning her degree in Child Development. Since she was a child she has always helped friends and families with their newborns and young ones, it came naturally to her. As a postpartum doula, Ciera has supported many clients across the GTA and in New York.

Today, she specializes in prenatal support, overnight newborn care, twins support, lactation and milk production, and all things mama care. Being a Doula is the second most rewarding thing to being the mother to a wonderful 4 year old girl.

In this modern era, Ciera believes the need for informative and compassionate support throughout pregnancy, birth and the "fourth trimester" is increasingly evident. As a doula, her main goal is to help empower her clients to advocate for themselves and the birth they prefer. Her secondary goal is to help them attain their goals by providing them with the support, guidance and information they need while establishing healthy habits.

Training & Education:

  • Postpartum Doula Training (CAPPA)

  • Certified Birth Doula (Childbirth International)

Julie Saunders

Experience Highlights: Birth & Postpartum Doula/Prenatal Educator/Night Doula

Julie has been a birth and postpartum doula for 8 years. Her gift is a natural intuitive ability to connect with people quickly and create intimate bonds. This is pivotal to the foundation of trust that leads to the ability to support positive birth experiences for both the labouring mother as well as her partner. She is also a prenatal educator, and enjoys preparing couples for birth and parenthood. For her, hearing from parents-to-be that they feel more prepared and ready is the greatest reward!

Julie knows the importance of choosing a doula who builds confidence and safety, someone you can be yourself around who you can trust. A doula who will support you in whatever way YOU want and need.

When not at a birth or lending a hand with newborn babes, Julie is adventuring through life with her partner Scott, and they are collectively raising 5 little humans.

She loves to read, travel, play monopoly, listen to live music and read anything birth related.
